    Location: Burlington, North Carolina

    The Burlington School, Inc. seeks to replace our long-time varsity baseball coach, Chad Holland, for the 2024-2025 school year. The Burlington School is accredited by SAIS and is the premier Preschool 3 through 12th grade independent school in Alamance County. Over the past decade, our baseball program has won two state championships and placed over one dozen players at the collegiate level. We have consistently played one of the most rigorous schedules in the state in an effort to prepare our student-athletes with the ability to handle adversity on the field and in life, while providing them a platform to be seen by college coaches.

    The Varsity Baseball Coach is responsible for all details pertaining to the varsity baseball team at TBS. These responsibilities include:

    Running pre-season workouts at a local field of fitness center

    Helping the AD with game scheduling

    Weekly emails to communicate schedules and updates with parents/players

    In-Season uniform upkeep

    Planning meaningful practices for skill development

    Driving to and from away games

    Additional Details:

    The position reports to the Athletic Director

    Position start date is June 1, 2024

    -Teach one section of Rock Ensemble in the Upper School (approximately 4 hours per week)

    -Plan and orchestrate three concerts per year.

    -Facilitate community within the Upper School by participating in Arts events.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Responsible for planning and implementing lessons utilizing best practices in early childhood education

    Along with providing instruction, the teacher will be responsible for evaluating and reporting on student performance and will meet with families during student-led conferences twice per year

    Responsible for attending required events outside normal school hours

    Manage classroom with effective and positive strategies that incorporate learning and implement school procedures and policies

    Collaborate with a variety of teachers from across the grades, (PS3 - 12) for exciting and memorable learning
